ONCE YOU'VE PASSED YOUR TEST, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER 'PASS PLUS'
What is it?
Pass Plus is a practical training course backed by the Driving Standards Agency and insurers. It is designed to make newly-qualified drivers become better drivers.
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test due to a lack of driving experience.
The Pass Plus course builds on your new driving skills and knowledge.
It consists of six practical modules and there is no test. Areas covered include:
• Town driving
• Rush-hour traffic
• Complicated junctions and traffic systems
• All-weather driving – rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice
• Dealing with skidding
• Driving on rural roads – cows in the road, horses round the bend
• Night driving and using lights correctly
• Driving on dual carriageways
• Observation, concentration and anticipation
• Motorway driving
